Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Cadaver exquisito by Jorge Macchi. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,812.13). Admittedly, works by Jorge Macchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autorretrato in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,441.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cadaver exquisito von Jorge Macchi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.812,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jorge Macchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autorretrato im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.441,54).
