Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Joost Baljeu was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2004. The price achieved of EUR 23,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joost Baljeu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.

Die Arbeit Composition von Joost Baljeu kam im November 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 23.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joost Baljeu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
