In December 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work W Xi by Joost Baljeu. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 49,500.00 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joost Baljeu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C, which sold at auction in May 2019 for EUR 137,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit W Xi von Joost Baljeu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 49.500,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Joost Baljeu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für EUR 137.500,00 versteigert wurde.
