Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Joost Baljeu was sold in the Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 3,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 30,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Joost Baljeu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joost Baljeu wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 30.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joost Baljeu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
