In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Kindergarten serie nr. 5- synth. constructie w IX by Joost Baljeu. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joost Baljeu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kindergarten serie nr. 5- synth. constructie w IX von Joost Baljeu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joost Baljeu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
