In June 2020 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam, which included the work Synthetische Constructie F25 (Synthetic Construction F25) by Joost Baljeu. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 13,750.00 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joost Baljeu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit Synthetische Constructie F25 (Synthetic Construction F25) von Joost Baljeu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 13.750,00 und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joost Baljeu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Synth. Constr. Wxi_4C im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
