Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a gentleman, traditionally said to the artist's son, half-length by Jonathan Richardson for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,353.22). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jonathan Richardson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Group Portrait of The Artist And His Son, Jonathan, With John Milton, Three-Quarter-Length, On A Balcony in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,126.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, traditionally said to the artist's son, half-length von Jonathan Richardson für GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.353,22) erwerben.
