Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,952.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonathan Richardson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Group Portrait of The Artist And His Son, Jonathan, With John Milton, Three-Quarter-Length, On A Balcony, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,126.47).
