Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Portrait of the artist's son, Jonathan Richardson Jun. (1694-1771), aged 40 by Jonathan Richardson. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,320.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Jonathan Richardson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2005 the work Group Portrait of The Artist And His Son, Jonathan, With John Milton, Three-Quarter-Length, On A Balcony was auctioned for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,126.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of the artist's son, Jonathan Richardson Jun. (1694-1771), aged 40 von Jonathan Richardson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.320,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Richardson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2005 die Arbeit Group Portrait of The Artist And His Son, Jonathan, With John Milton, Three-Quarter-Length, On A Balcony für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.126,47) versteigert.
