Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three Works: (i) Untitled (Just Hand Me My Pants); (ii) Untitled (Holy Fuck); (iii) Untitled (Later Bro) by Jon Pylypchuk was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in April 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,438.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jon Pylypchuk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (I Will Be Gentle With You/If You Are Kind I Will Love You) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,390.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three Works: (i) Untitled (Just Hand Me My Pants); (ii) Untitled (Holy Fuck); (iii) Untitled (Later Bro) von Jon Pylypchuk wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.438,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jon Pylypchuk erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (I Will Be Gentle With You/If You Are Kind I Will Love You) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.390,09).
