Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work hey, so what's up with the robot by Jon Pylypchuk. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,354.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jon Pylypchuk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (I Will Be Gentle With You/If You Are Kind I Will Love You) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,390.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit hey, so what's up with the robot von Jon Pylypchuk zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.354,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jon Pylypchuk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (I Will Be Gentle With You/If You Are Kind I Will Love You) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.390,09).
