Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work The wood-reeve's daughters by John William North. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,741.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by John William North have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grass Of The Field in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,071.12).

Im September 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The wood-reeve's daughters von John William North zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.741,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John William North auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Grass Of The Field im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.071,12).
