Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lunar Spectrum by John Tunnard was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,816.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by John Tunnard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Display in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lunar Spectrum von John Tunnard kam im Januar 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.816,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Tunnard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Display im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82).
