In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale, which included the work Fish Trap by John Tunnard. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,750.00 (€ 44,346.53), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Tunnard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Display, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).

Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish Trap von John Tunnard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.750,00 (€ 44.346,53) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Tunnard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Display beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82) versteigert wurde.
