Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Portrait of Julian Branthwayt, half-length, in a turquoise and purple wrap, feigned oval by John Theodore Heins. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,990.00 (€ 4,972.51), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by John Theodore Heins have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 6,214.00 (€ 8,920.29) in November 2003 for the work Portrait of Lucy, Lady Gage, daughter of William Knight, half-length, in an oyster satin dress and blue wrap, with a feathered headdress, feigned oval.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Julian Branthwayt, half-length, in a turquoise and purple wrap, feigned oval von John Theodore Heins zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.990,00 (€ 4.972,51) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von John Theodore Heins haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.214,00 (€ 8.920,29) im November 2003 für die Arbeit Portrait of Lucy, Lady Gage, daughter of William Knight, half-length, in an oyster satin dress and blue wrap, with a feathered headdress, feigned oval beobachtet.
