Gilbert Collection auction, the work Cobwebs (Brooklyn Bridge) sold for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,367.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Taylor Arms have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Various Subjects in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 11,162.50 (€ 12,281.33).
