Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mask XX ('Bird Mask') by John Stezaker was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,816.00 (€ 2,664.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Stezaker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kiss I in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 28,750.00 (€ 33,347.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mask XX ('Bird Mask') von John Stezaker wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.816,00 (€ 2.664,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Stezaker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kiss I im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.750,00 (€ 33.347,94).
