Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Stezaker could be acquired at Phillips in 17 - in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,270.00 (€ 1,152.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Stezaker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kiss I in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 28,750.00 (€ 33,347.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Stezaker konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 17 - für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.270,00 (€ 1.152,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Stezaker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kiss I im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.750,00 (€ 33.347,94).
