Other works by John Opie have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,340.00 (€ 17,176.80) in June 2001 for the work Portrait Of Sir James Earle, Half-Length, Seated, In A Brown Coat And Striped Waistcoat; And Portrait Of Mary, Lady Earle, Half-Length, Seated At A Piano, In A White Dress And A Grey Coat.
