Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John McGhie could be acquired at Bonhams in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures and Prints Online auction, the work Sands of Iona changed hands for GBP 573.75 (€ 652.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John McGhie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By the sea in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 23,900.00 (€ 34,908.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John McGhie konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John McGhie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By the sea im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.900,00 (€ 34.908,12).
