This work without title by John McCracken was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 478,800.00 (€ 392,652.12), 37% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John McCracken - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 965,000.00 (€ 913,652.72).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John McCracken wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 392.652,12) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John McCracken mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 965.000,00 (€ 913.652,72) versteigert wurde.
