Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Ferryden, Montrose by John MacLauchlan Milne. It changed hands for a price of GBP 765.00 (€ 899.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John MacLauchlan Milne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St Paul de Vence in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 125,745.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ferryden, Montrose von John MacLauchlan Milne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 899,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John MacLauchlan Milne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St Paul de Vence im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 125.745,48).
