Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Corrie, Arran by John MacLauchlan Milne. It changed hands for a price of GBP 28,160.00 (€ 32,335.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John MacLauchlan Milne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work St Paul de Vence, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 125,745.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Corrie, Arran von John MacLauchlan Milne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 28.160,00 (€ 32.335,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John MacLauchlan Milne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit St Paul de Vence beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 107.100,00 (€ 125.745,48) versteigert wurde.
