This artwork by John MacLauchlan Milne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. In the The Scottish Sale auction, the work In Provence sold for GBP 31,500.00 (€ 37,318.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John MacLauchlan Milne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work St Paul de Vence, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 125,745.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John MacLauchlan Milne erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Scottish Sale wurde die Arbeit In Provence für GBP 31.500,00 (€ 37.318,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John MacLauchlan Milne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit St Paul de Vence beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 107.100,00 (€ 125.745,48) versteigert wurde.
