Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Girl Reading by John Houston for USD 250.00 (€ 203.00). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Houston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset over the Forth (from North Berwick Golf Club showing Fife and the Lomonds) in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,640.37).

Im Juli 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girl Reading von John Houston für USD 250,00 (€ 203,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Houston erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset over the Forth (from North Berwick Golf Club showing Fife and the Lomonds) im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.640,00 (€ 9.640,37).
