Portfolio of 10 gelatin silver prints; each signed, titled, dated and numbered '36/50' in pencil (verso); each image approx. 14 1/2 x 11 1/2 (36.9 x 29.3 cm.) or inverse, each sheet approx. 17 x 14 in. (43.3 x 35.6 cm.) or inverse; number thirty-six from an edition of fifty plus eight artist's proofs.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Ten Photographs, 1982 by John Gutmann for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,438.87). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Including Property from the Museum of Modern Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by John Gutmann have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2006 by the work First Drive-in Theatre, Los Angeles, 1935 at USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,620.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ten Photographs, 1982 von John Gutmann für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.438,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs Including Property from the Museum of Modern Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von John Gutmann wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2006 die Arbeit First Drive-in Theatre, Los Angeles, 1935 mit USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.620,95).
