In March 2013 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included this untitled work by John Grillo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,339.73), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Grillo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,795.58).

Im März 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Grillo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.339,73) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Grillo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.795,58).
