Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Estrild with Mirror and Plants by John Boyd was sold in the The Scottish Sale including pictures from the auction at Christies in London in November 2001. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,479.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Boyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Café, Fes, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).

Die Arbeit Estrild with Mirror and Plants von John Boyd wurde im November 2001 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale including pictures from the bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.479,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Boyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Café, Fes beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16) versteigert wurde.
