Admittedly, works by John Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Café, Fes in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).

Die Arbeit Bagatelle Device von John Boyd kam im Dezember 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.592,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Café, Fes im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16).
