This artwork by John Boyd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2016. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work Still Life With Imposters sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,628.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Boyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Café, Fes, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Boyd erzielte im März 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Still Life With Imposters für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.628,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Boyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Café, Fes beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16) versteigert wurde.
