Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges, which included the work Redemption by John Boyd. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,240.00 (€ 9,260.94). Other works by John Boyd have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16) in November 2001 for the work Café, Fes.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges durch, in der auch die Arbeit Redemption von John Boyd zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.240,00 (€ 9.260,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von John Boyd haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16) im November 2001 für die Arbeit Café, Fes beobachtet.
