This artwork by John Boyd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December 2020. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Observation of Angels sold for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 4,985.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Boyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Café, Fes, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Boyd erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Observation of Angels für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 4.985,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Boyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Café, Fes beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16) versteigert wurde.
