Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Inhabited Island II by John Boyd was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,095.76), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by John Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Café, Fes in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Inhabited Island II von John Boyd kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.095,76) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Café, Fes im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16).
