Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Johannes de Lagoor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2006. In the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction, the work Six Landscape Etchings (Holl. 1-6) sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,851.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes de Lagoor achieve.
