Both signed and each numbered 15/20 and 16/20 respectively in black ink on a label affixed to the reverse of the frames, published by Marlborough Fine Art, London, contained in the original artist designed wooden carved and painted frames.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Transparency, Che Guevara II and I, October 9th 1967 by Joe Tilson was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in September last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,577.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Tilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Secret in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 236,464.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Transparency, Che Guevara II and I, October 9th 1967 von Joe Tilson wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.577,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Tilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Secret im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 236.464,29).
