In September 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Mirror IMG_2045 by Joe Reihsen. The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,441.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joe Reihsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Destruction probable but not guaranteed in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mirror IMG_2045 von Joe Reihsen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.441,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joe Reihsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Destruction probable but not guaranteed im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94).
