In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work No Pressure Pleasure, 2014 by Joe Reihsen. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,872.07), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joe Reihsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Destruction probable but not guaranteed in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit No Pressure Pleasure, 2014 von Joe Reihsen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.872,07) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joe Reihsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Destruction probable but not guaranteed im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94).
