Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Five prints by the artist by Joe Goode was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,134.00 (€ 1,027.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Goode achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cloud-Photograph Triptych in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 203,000.00 (€ 160,753.88).
