The work Untitled from the Torn Cloud series, circa 1975 by Joe Goode was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 120,075.00 (€ 113,955.59), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joe Goode; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cloud-Photograph Triptych sold at auction in September 2014 with the realized price of USD 203,000.00 (€ 160,753.88).

Die Arbeit Untitled from the Torn Cloud series, circa 1975 von Joe Goode wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 120.075,00 (€ 113.955,59) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joe Goode; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cloud-Photograph Triptych im September 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 203.000,00 (€ 160.753,88).
