Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction New York New York, which included this untitled work by Joan Nelson. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,857.19). Admittedly, works by Joan Nelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #196 in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 14,420.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New York New York durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joan Nelson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.857,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Nelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #196 im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 14.420,39).
