Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Striped Hood by Joan Eardley was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,136.47), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Eardley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beggars In Venice in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 209,875.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Striped Hood von Joan Eardley wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.136,47) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Eardley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beggars In Venice im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 209.875,08).
