However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joan Eardley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beggars In Venice, which sold at auction in August 2008 for GBP 169,250.00 (€ 209,875.08).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 46.920,00 (€ 54.591,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Joan Eardley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beggars In Venice beobachtet, die im August 2008 für GBP 169.250,00 (€ 209.875,08) versteigert wurde.
