Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Clearing Storm by Joan Eardley was auctioned at Christies in London in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,541.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Eardley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beggars In Venice in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 209,875.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Clearing Storm von Joan Eardley kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.541,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Eardley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beggars In Venice im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 209.875,08).
