Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Samson Children by Joan Eardley was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 25,500.00 (€ 29,707.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joan Eardley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beggars In Venice in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 209,875.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Samson Children von Joan Eardley wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.500,00 (€ 29.707,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Eardley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beggars In Venice im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 209.875,08).
