Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Haystacks and Sun by Joan Eardley was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 28,020.00 (€ 32,601.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joan Eardley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beggars In Venice in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 209,875.08).

Die Arbeit Haystacks and Sun von Joan Eardley kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 28.020,00 (€ 32.601,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Eardley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beggars In Venice im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 209.875,08).
