In March 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Day For Night, Christiania 1996 (The Multimedia House/Stables) by Joachim Koester. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,160.00 (€ 1,665.51), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joachim Koester have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, 1991 in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 10,000.00 (€ 8,739.73).

Im März 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Day For Night, Christiania 1996 (The Multimedia House/Stables) von Joachim Koester zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.160,00 (€ 1.665,51) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joachim Koester auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, 1991 im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 10.000,00 (€ 8.739,73).
