Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jo Baer could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Cardinations changed hands for GBP 688.00 (€ 859.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jo Baer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 307,490.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jo Baer konnte im Juni 2014 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Cardinations für GBP 688,00 (€ 859,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jo Baer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 307.490,14).
