Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included the work A Diary of Flowers (Close) by Jim Hodges. The »bidding war« ended at USD 42,840.00 (€ 37,955.17), 22% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Hodges achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When We Stay in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,609,772.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Diary of Flowers (Close) von Jim Hodges zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 42.840,00 (€ 37.955,17) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Hodges erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When We Stay im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.609.772,94).
