Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jesús Rafael Soto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Vibrations sold for USD 20,320.00 (€ 19,227.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jesús Rafael Soto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vibración Blanca in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,035,000.00 (€ 886,889.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jesús Rafael Soto erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Vibrations für USD 20.320,00 (€ 19.227,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jesús Rafael Soto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vibración Blanca im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.035.000,00 (€ 886.889,46).
