The »bidding war« ended at USD 19,050.00 (€ 17,522.08), 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jessie Makinson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fluffy Whistle, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 57,150.00 (€ 65,019.16).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 19.050,00 (€ 17.522,08) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jessie Makinson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fluffy Whistle beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 57.150,00 (€ 65.019,16) versteigert wurde.
